After a day of regular school and athletic activities, Cormick Scanlan suffered a stroke on the evening of December 6, 2022. Angiogram revealed that he had a rare condition called Moyamoya disease, in which the carotid arteries become blocked and blood flow to the brain is restricted (causing the brain to stroke). Neuro-vascular bypass surgery on December 15th was unsuccessful and more strokes occurred. Cormick passed away peacefully, surrounded by his parents and Grammy "T" on Christmas Day, 2022.
